Axis is supporting the pledge’s goal for businesses and universities to help employees, customers and the community during the pandemic.
Devised by former UK Cabinet Minister Justine Greening and UK entrepreneur David Harris, the actions implemented by the businesses that sign the C-19 Business Pledge are not only aimed at helping to overcome the immediate challenges imposed by Covid-19, but are also crucial in helping to rebuild over the medium to long-term.
Throughout the Covid-19 crisis, Axis Group has adapted its service delivery and the management and support of its employees in line with government guidelines. Axis Security has introduced a range of adapted patrol and response services to support the traditional manned guarding offering, and embraced technology to provide thermal imaging solutions deployed to entry points of buildings, as well as continuing to review site protocols in line with social distancing requirements. Axis Cleaning is providing specialist deep cleaning across the UK using state of the art electrostatic sanitising equipment, ensuring peace of mind for people and organisations planning for their return to work.
Gary Stanton, Group Commercial Director, says the company also continues to focus on employee development: “We’re using new courses including Legionella Awareness, Principles of Manual Handling and Fire Marshal, to equip employees with new skills while on the frontline or furloughed and awaiting return. Our employee benefits offering continues to support our people’s mental and financial wellbeing with virtual offerings covering a range of supportive areas.”
Group CEO Jonathan Levine added: “The health and safety of our customers and employees has always been at the core of our values, and we are incredibly grateful to all our employees for supporting this ethos. By signing the C-19 business pledge we want to join the efforts of many other organisations to fight Covid-19 and protect those around us.”
