Michael Chandler – the managing director of Vanquish, which owns a security and investigation services company along with an executive travel business – has won the Outstanding Entrepreneur category at the 2015 Best Business Awards.

Chandler was recognised for strong commercial performance, significant growth within the business, staff and customer loyalty, innovation, strong leadership and a clear vision of where he wants to take his businesses in the immediate future.

The prestigious Best Business Awards boasts a Judging Panel of over 20 independent experts who select winners according to strict criteria for each category and sector.

Commenting specifically on Chandler’s award, the Chairman of the Judges stated: “Security expert Michael Chandler has risen up the ranks in the covert world of private protection and investigations and now runs an international empire. He originally started his Vanquish Security and Investigation Consultants business in London armed with only  £350.00. Today, Michael provides training for security personnel, runs an online shop that sells security and surveillance equipment and also offers specialist protection services. The company has also just expanded into the US. Michael’s career path has the hallmark of a serial entrepreneur. Indeed, he’s a true entrepreneur with a talent for spotting opportunities and turning them into thriving businesses.”

Upon receiving the Outstanding Entrepreneur Award, a company spokesperson said: “Michael is absolutely delighted to receive this accolade. He takes great pride in his work and is very grateful to be recognised for his long-term dedication to his companies.”

The Best Business Awards attract a wide range of entries from many different business sectors, with entries received from large international plcs and public sector organisations as well as dynamic and innovative SMEs.
