G4S Facilities Management has appointed Tom Feeney as the business’ new finance director. Effective immediately, Feeney will be responsible for finances across the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man as well as leading the finance and commercial teams at the G4S FM head office located in Banbury.
Feeney has been with G4S FM for just over a year and previously held the role of head of finance and commercial with the company. In his new position, Feeney will manage the finances across 60 single, bundled and total facilities management contracts in a business that now boasts an annual turnover of around £300 million.
Before joining G4S FM in July last year, Feeney served as commercial finance director at United Technologies Actuation Systems and, prior to that, as the firm’s after-market finance director. He has also held director-level roles in FM businesses including Rentokil Initial and Capita.
Feeney trained as a management accountant before embarking on a successful career in the service and outsourcing sectors.
Exciting and pivotal time for the business
Speaking about his new role, Feeney told Risk UK: “I’m delighted to accept this role at what is an exciting and pivotal time for the G4S FM business as we continue to grow in the commercial sector. In the year that I’ve been with the business, we have developed some exciting plans for our service lines and made great inroads into the commercial sector. Now is definitely a great time to be so directly involved in supporting the business.”
Darren Jones, interim regional managing director at G4S FM, added: “We’re delighted to appoint Tom to the finance director’s role within G4S Facilities Management. His extensive sector experience means that he’s well positioned to help us drive the financial performance of the company as we look to exceed our targets in the FM market.”
