The Security Institute signs Memorandum of Understanding with SIRA in UAE

The second day of the recent Intersec Dubai exhibition witnessed Rick Mounfield CSyP FSyI, CEO of The Security Institute, sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Brigadier Khalifa Al Salies, CEO of the Dubai-based Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA).

This development represents a big step forward in the Institute’s global engagement strategy and will allow the organisation’s Middle East Members Group an opportunity to collaborate more closely with the SIRA on Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events as well as other networking opportunities within Dubai.

Institute chairman Dr Alison Wakefield FSyI stated: “This new partnership is a fantastic development as part of our global engagement. Thank You to our Middle East Members Group, and especially its chairman and former Institute director Simon Whitehouse.”

Rick Mounfield added: “Our relationship with SIRA marks a new chapter for the Middle East membership based in the UAE. With the SIRA’s support and collaboration, we will be able to organise training and CPD activity for the benefit of both our members and the SIRA community. The professionals in our membership are ready and keen to share knowledge and experience for the improvement of security practices for all. I’m now looking forward to witnessing the relationship blossom.”
