The Linx International Group has announced that Paul Tennent, the executive director of Tavcom Training, is to step down from his role at the end of this month. Tavcom Training is the “world’s leading provider” of accredited security systems training. The business was established in 1994 by the late Mike Tennent, Paul’s father, and quickly became an organisation wholly synonymous with quality technical security training.

Paul Tennent has played a key role in the development and success of Tavcom Training, bringing his energy and passion to the organisation for just shy of two decades.

Speaking about the announcement, David Gill CSyP (managing director of the Linx International Group) stated: “Tavcom Training is defined as the ‘Gold Standard’ for security systems courses. Paul has been instrumental in both building this successful business and in its continued success. On behalf of the Linx International Group, I would like to thank Paul for his long service, hard work and dedication.”

In conversation with Risk Xtra, Tennent himself commented: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time helping to take Tavcom from small business beginnings, housed in my late father’s garage, to become the world-leading provider of what quality security systems training should look like. I’m immensely proud of the reputation we have built for Tavcom Training in the security business sector. The company continues to set the benchmark in the delivery of the most relevant courses, taught by the very best tutors in the highest quality facilities. I wish Tavcom Training and the Linx International Group every success for the future.”

Tavcom offers a suite of award-winning, BTEC-accredited training courses for security installers, operators, managers and designers of electronic security systems. The business’ range of technical and non-technical courses covers video surveillance systems (CCTV), Control Room operations, IP and cyber security, intruder alarms, access control, fire alarms, project management and security consultancy.
