David Ward: new role as CEO of the Board at Ward Security Holdings Ltd

Ward Security Holdings Ltd has announced its intention to restructure the business’ Executive Management Board in a move designed to accommodate the fast rate of growth being experienced within the company. Ward Security Holdings Ltd is the umbrella group for Ward Security.

Under the new structure, David Ward will become CEO of Ward Security Holdings Ltd, while Kevin Ward will move from his position as executive director to become managing director of Ward Security.

The change in the company’s management structure and the introduction of the role of CEO reflects the growing nature of the business as well as the need for an increased focus on leadership and communication to stakeholders within the group.

In his new role as CEO of the Board, David Ward will set the agenda for the group in determination of company strategy and overall commercial objectives while continuing to ensure the guardianship of Ward Security within this remit. Consequently, all day-to-day operational and management decisions for Ward Security will now become the sole responsibility of Kevin Ward as managing director.

Speaking about these plans, David Ward told Risk UK: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed overseeing the growth and strategic direction of Ward Security since its inception. It has certainly been rewarding to be an integral part of what’s undoubtedly a highly successful and professional team. The growth and commitment of the directors and associates is something I’m truly proud of and, as a business, we’re changing the face of security, pushing new boundaries and, importantly, challenging how the discipline of security is perceived.”

Ward continued: “While we have successfully established an enviable reputation and position for Ward Security as a leading player in the industry, there are many more new business avenues and opportunities that I would like to explore on behalf of the Ward Group. As CEO of the group, I will be in a better position to do this while leaving the day-to-day management of Ward Security in Kevin’s very capable hands.”

Founded in 2007 by brothers David and Kevin Ward, Ward Security is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ward Security Holdings Ltd. It employs over 600 security personnel and has its head office in London, a centralised administration office in Rochester and operates regional offices in Bracknell, Manchester, Birmingham and Scotland.
