Following the huge success of the inaugural UK Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) earlier this year, the awards scheme will be returning in 2018. The UK OSPAs are part of a global awards scheme currently running in eight countries and designed to recognise and reward outstanding performance within the security business sector.
Entry to the UK OSPAs is free and open to companies, teams and individuals who have performed at an exceptional level. Entrants do not have to be a member of a specific organisation or association to put forward a submission.
The nomination period opened on Friday 15 September and will close on Monday 13 November. Submissions are now invited in the following categories:
Outstanding In-House Security Team, Outstanding In-House Security Manager, Outstanding Contract Security Company, Outstanding Security Consultant, Outstanding Customer Service Initiative, Outstanding Security Training Initiative, Outstanding Security Installer, Outstanding Event Security Team, Outstanding Security Partnership, Outstanding Investigator, Outstanding Cyber Security Initiative, Outstanding Information Security Company, Outstanding Security Equipment Manufacturer, Outstanding Security Officer, Outstanding Young Security Professional and the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
Professor Martin Gill CSyP FSyI, director of Perpetuity Research and founder of the OSPAs, informed Risk UK: “March 2017 saw the first-ever presentation of the UK OSPAs, and we were astounded by the support and quality of entries received. Next year promises to be an even bigger event, and I urge everyone operating within the security industry to nominate those who have performed at an exceptional level and who deserve to be recognised.”
The UK OSPAs will be presented at a prestigious awards dinner to be held at The Royal Lancaster Hotel in central London on Thursday 1 March 2018.
Risk UK is the Official Media Partner for the 2018 UK OSPAs.
