Open forum Question Time at SiX seeks to tackle key security and fire issues

On the afternoon of the first day of SiX in Manchester (which runs on 5-6th November at Event City), Risk Xtra’s sister title Professional Security Installer (PSI) magazine will be hosting a security industry panel discussion that will be conducted very much in the lively style of BBC TV’s own popular debate show, namely Question Time.

Have you ever wanted to put a question to leading representatives of the industry’s key Trade Associations and certifiers? If so, now’s your chance to do so thanks to the PSI Question Time session, which is ready to address any concerns or queries in an open forum discussion keenly focused on the security and fire business sectors.

Hosted by PSI’s Editor Andy Clutton, the session starts at 3.00 pm and will end at 3.45 pm. It will allow visitors at the SiX event to ask questions and raise any concerns they may have with industry experts.

Those professionals appearing on the panel include:

*Mike Reddington (CEO, British Security Industry Association)

*Geoff Tate (chairman, Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board)

*Matthew Holliday (technical manager, National Security Inspectorate)

*Pat Allen (former chair, Fire and Security Association and former managing director at the Abel Alarm Company)

*Will Lloyd (technical manager, Fire Industry Association)

“We don’t know which subjects are going to crop up, so we might well have a very lively event on our hands,” explained Andy Clutton in conversation with Risk Xtra. “I would encourage all those industry professionals with points to raise to attend the event. Don’t miss this excellent opportunity to question such an important gathering of experts and representatives from the major security industry bodies and certifiers. I’m looking forward to seeing the session debate in some depth the hot topics of the moment.”

If you would like to put one of these experts ‘on the spot’ then be sure to attend Question Time at SiX on Tuesday 5th November. Attendance is free.

Organised and run by Pro-Activ Publications (publisher of Risk Xtra, PSI, Benchmark and The Paper), SiX is designed for security installers and integrators. It’s an event that has been created in response to the rapidly evolving technological landscape.
