NSI announces Interim Chief Executive

The National Security Inspectorate (NSI) has announced the appointment of Richard Jenkins as the company’s interim Chief Executive. Richard succeeds Jeff Little OBE, who resigned from the post of Chief Executive, which he had held for three years. Richard is a change management specialist coming from a general business background including the engineering and vehicle industries. With over 20 years’ experience, Richard’s expertise includes business reorganisation, supply chain integration, process design and customer focussed strategic development. His most recent role was with IKEA Ltd where he developed and implemented IKEA’s auto enrolment pension scheme strategy and led the work launching their UK internet and home shopping delivery service and continuous improvement programme. Commenting on his appointment, Richard stated:” I am privileged to have this opportunity by the Board to take NSI forward. I am particularly keen for us to continue to focus closely on our customers’ needs and stakeholder interests” Chris Hanks, NSI Chairman commented:” Richard brings with him a wealth of experience and I am delighted that he has joined NSI for the next step of its development. Richard will bring a new perspective to NSI and will ensure the company is fully equipped for the future.”

Brian’s actively involved in 50-plus security groups on LinkedIn and hosts the popular Risk UK Twitter site. Brian is a frequent speaker on the conference circuit. He has organised and chaired conference programmes for both IFSEC International and ASIS International and has been published in the national media. Brian was appointed Editor of Risk UK at Pro-Activ Publications in July 2014 and as Editor of The Paper (Pro-Activ Publications' dedicated business newspaper for security professionals) in September 2015. Brian was appointed Editor of Risk Xtra at Pro-Activ Publications in May 2018.
