Norbain Holdings – the security, fire and IT/IP connectivity systems distribution company – has announced the appointment of Jeremy Hockham as the company’s managing director.
Hockham joins the Berkshire-based company with broad international industry experience having served as president of Bosch Security USA, managing director of Bosch Security UK and also managing director of Honeywell Security. These roles are among many other senior management positions Hockham has held in the security sector.
Commenting on his new role, Hockham told Risk UK: “I was delighted to accept the opportunity to run the Holdings company at such an important phase in its development. Since its acquisition by the Newbury Group in 2012, Norbain has seen continuous investment and acquisitions. I’m really looking forward to joining the team and building on the strong platform the business has in place across the security, fire and connectivity markets.’
Nigel Palmer, CEO of parent company Newbury Investments, stated: “We’re delighted to welcome Jeremy to Norbain Holdings at what is an exciting time in the company’s evolution. In the last 18 months, security expert Norbain SD has been joined by Detection Supplies and CMS plc, leading distributors in fire and IT connectivity solutions respectively. Jeremy brings with him a wealth of experience and industry knowledge, and we’re looking forward to Norbain Holdings continuing to build on this market presence under his guidance.”

In addition to being an authorised distributor of over 90 of the world’s leading electronic security brands, Norbain is also the home of Vista, the UK’s largest-selling range of CCTV equipment.
