Quadrant Security Group (QSG), part of Synectics, has appointed security and IT management expert Phil Doyle as its new MD. Doyle joins the integration company from Axis Communications, where he held the post of Regional Director for Northern Europe, specialising in IP-based surveillance and security systems for sectors including banking, public space, CNI, education, industrial, healthcare, retail and transportation. Doyle’s career has also seen him hold senior positions at Thales and TAG, having also played an integral role in developing the analogue-to-digital market for telecommunications company Nortel. Doyle stated, ‘I’m passionate about technology, but what really interests me is the service side of the industry, being able to build long term relationships with clients to really understand their business, their challenges and using this knowledge to advise on, and deliver, the best solutions. Historically that has been QSG’s strength and that is a great thing to build on. My task is to capitalise on this core strength and generate further industry awareness of the sheer breadth of the business’ security offering.’ Paul Moonan, Divisional Managing Director at Synectics, stated, ‘We are delighted to welcome Phil on board. His extensive experience within the industry, and philosophy of focusing on service as the key to business development, is perfectly aligned with the values that have seen QSG go from strength to strength. His particular expertise in analogue to IP transition management is highly relevant to the sectors QSG serves, and to the security industry as whole.’
