Mitie has been awarded a five-year facilities management-focused contract with the Yorkshire Building Society following a competitive tender process. The contract is worth £14.5 million and covers security, engineering and catering. This new contract will see Mitie deliver these services to no less than 147 of the Yorkshire Building Society’s sites, including office locations and branches.
Given that the Yorkshire Building Society is a leading financial services provider, security is of course paramount for the organisation. Mitie’s security business will provide an enhanced level of service to all Yorkshire Building Society head office locations. Yorkshire Building Society will also benefit from Mitie’s expertise as an intelligence and tech-led security business which will increase resilience to its group-wide security monitoring.
In addition, Mitie’s engineering business will oversee the delivery of maintenance and repair services across the Yorkshire Building Society’s entire estate. Mitie will focus on ‘first time fix’ and lifecycle asset management by introducing its direct audits system, which will enable better visibility of asset condition and potential future spend.
Gather & Gather, Mitie’s catering arm, will “revolutionise” the current catering offer with the introduction of two new concepts – ‘lighter on the pocket’ and ‘healthy options’. These ranges will reinvigorate on-site food for staff offering enjoyable healthy eating options which are also cost friendly.
