FIM Expo: Connecting Fire Detection and Alarm Systems-Focused Professionals

It’s now just two months until the next FIM Expo, which runs on Thursday 4 October. This time around, the event will take place at Doncaster Racecourse, whichis one of the oldest (and, in terms of physical capacity, largest) established centres for horse racing in Britain, with records of regular race meetings dating back to the 16th Century.

Organised by the Fire Industry Association (FIA), FIM Expo features many of the UK’s leading fire detection and alarm manufacturers and focuses on showcasing the latest products and developments in this sector of the industry.

The FIA will also be hosting a free seminar at the Expo designed to outline the changes on BS 5839-1:2017. There will be two sessions on the day – with one in the morning and one in the afternoon – to make sure all delegates have a chance to attend.

With a wide range of exhibitors confirmed so far, the FIM Expo is for anyone working in this area, whether as an installer or maintainer of fire detection and alarm systems, a manager of such systems in commercial premises or as an architect or individual specifying what type of fire protection systems should be installed in a building.
