Entries open and new categories added for 2019’s UK Outstanding Security Performance Awards

The entry process for the 2019 UK Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) has opened, with the event organiser calling for nominations. The UK OSPAs are now in their third year and form part of a global awards scheme currently running in eight countries in order to recognise and reward proven outstanding performance across the security business sector.

2019 sees the introduction of a number of new categories which have been added to the mix to acknowledge both in-house and contracted security personnel and new security products.

The entry process is open until Friday 16th November 2018. Nominations are invited in the following categories:

*Outstanding Contract Security Manager/Director

*Outstanding Contract Security Company (Guarding)

*Outstanding Security Team

*Outstanding Security Officer

*Outstanding Security Consultant

*Outstanding Security Installer/Integrator

*Outstanding Customer Service Initiative

*Outstanding Security Training Initiative

*Outstanding Event Security Team

*Outstanding Security Partnership

*Outstanding Security Equipment Manufacturer

*Outstanding New Security Product

*Outstanding Young Security Professional

*Outstanding Cyber Security Initiative

*Lifetime Achievement Award

The OSPAs provide the opportunity to acknowledge excellence and innovation of individuals and companies who play a vital role in safeguarding UK plc.

Judging will be undertaken by an independent panel of experts who have been nominated by many of the leading security associations.

The security industry will unite on Thursday 28th February 2019 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London where the winners will be announced at a prestigious Awards Ceremony and Dinner.

He has organised and chaired conference programmes for both IFSEC International and ASIS International and has been published in the national media. Brian was appointed Editor of Risk UK at Pro-Activ Publications in July 2014 and as Editor of The Paper (Pro-Activ Publications' dedicated business newspaper for security professionals) in September 2015. Brian was appointed Editor of Risk Xtra at Pro-Activ Publications in May 2018.
