Axis Security has been re-appointed by Daiwa Capital Markets Europe to provide security guarding and reception services at the investment bank’s head office in central London. Daiwa will be working with Axis Security and Acuity, the Axis Group’s dedicated Front of House business.
Daiwa Capital Markets Europe is the wholly-owned investment banking subsidiary of Daiwa Securities Group Inc. Its head office is located at 5 King William Street in the heart of London’s financial district. The on-site security and Front of House teams have 30 years of combined experience at the Grade II-listed building and understand the site and its environment very well.
The contracts for security guarding and reception services were re-tendered as part of a regular review of capabilities and benchmarking costs and services. Axis Security and Acuity started working with Daiwa in 2015.
Peter Woods, head of facilities management at Daiwa, has confirmed that the bank continues to work with a Best-in-Class service provider. “Axis Group has committed to make further improvements to the service delivery, which includes the introduction of more technology to support the security officers, including Tracktik solutions designed to help monitor patrols and Fastfields for real-time reporting, and more training across the team. The reception team and the security team perform very well together. We have the right people for the environment. They strike the right balance of security and customer service.”
A team of seven officers protects the property around the clock, while a two-person reception team looks after the Front of House operation during normal working hours. Acuity has also trained eight additional receptionists specifically for the site so that any absences can be covered and additional support given at busy times.
Part of the re-tender saw the security team undergo cross-site training with officers visiting other Axis Security sites such as Sea Containers House on the banks of the Thames.
