CIS Security has been awarded a £1.5 million multi-year deal with Helix Property Management for the provision of security services at Regent Quarter. The company recently took over from VSG at the iconic site which is located at the heart of London’s King’s Cross. The location plays host to historic warehouses encompassed within nearly six acres of multi-functional spaces, from offices through to retail units and hospitality operations along with private residential apartments.

Since 2002, the Regent Quarter conservation area has been thoughtfully brought back to life. Carefully restored Georgian and Victorian buildings adjoin the glass elevations of brand new contemporary architecture. Industrial artefacts are discreetly integrated into the environment, in turn connecting past and present. The end result is a thriving enclave in which to live, work or socialise.

The three-year contract began on Monday 8 October and covers the provision of security management, security and reception teams. The winning contract model proposed by CIS Security is designed around maximising efficiency across every area of the specification underpinned by “cutting-edge technologies” and knowledgeable leadership.

A spokesperson for Helix Property Management informed Risk Xtra: “After an extensive tender exercise, we decided to choose CIS Security to provide the security services at Regent Quarter as the company’s passion for security and its staff, coupled with the desire to provide an outstanding service was clear from the outset. We look forward to working closely with CIS to deliver a first class and innovative service to the tenants on the estate.”

Founded back in 1996, Helix Property Management is built on the philosophy of building solid landlord, tenant and client relationships. Independently owned, Helix is a specialist in property and asset management with a UK-wide commercial real estate portfolio.

Speaking about the new contract, CIS Security’s managing director Neill Catton informed Risk Xtra: “We couldn’t be more excited to start our synergy with Helix Property Management. Innovation to ignite our clients’ success is at the very heart of everything we do at CIS Security and was the driving force behind our bid.”

CIS Security is an award-winning security services provider. Founded in 1969 and still privately-owned and independently-managed, the business has been organically growing free of any mergers. Today, it ranks within the Top 20 Guarding Companies in the UK. In March next year, the company celebrates its 50th Anniversary.
