Members of the BSIA’s dedicated Lone Worker Section are looking forward to another successful year at the Safety and Health Expo which runs alongside IFSEC International as part of organiser UBM’s Protection and Management Series. Taking place between 16-18 June at London’s ExCeL, Safety and Health Expo brings exhibitors together with an impressive audience of buyers and specifiers.

The British Security Industry Association’s (BSIA) Lone Worker Section consists of several companies who specialise in providing lone worker products and services to end user customers across a wide range of industry backgrounds. At the show, several BSIA member companies will be showcasing the latest in lone worker technology and offering expert insights on protecting those employees who work on an unsupervised basis.

James Kelly, CEO at the BSIA, commented: “Last year’s move to ExCeL London created a real buzz around the Safety and Health Expo. In 2015, with the show now firmly established in the capital, our expectations are that it will continue to move from strength to strength. Three issues close to the BSIA’s heart – innovation, education and the sharing of Best Practice – are all key to the show’s programme in 2015. As such, the Association is delighted to reinforce its keen support of the event.”

Several BSIA members have shared their own previews of the technology and services that they will be showcasing at the Safety and Health Expo:

Blackline GPS Europe (Stand M2060)

Blackline GPS Europe will be introducing the Loner Duo, a Bluetooth accessory which complements the Loner Mobile Safety monitoring application. Blackline’s Loner Duo pairs with a smart phone using low-power Bluetooth Smart technology and empowers Blackline’s Loner Mobile app with rigorous safety monitoring features equivalent to dedicated devices from Blackline Safety.

Gavin Boorman, managing director of Blackline GPS Europe, believes the Safety and Health Expo is a must-attend event that should be on everyone’s safety and security calendar.

“Blackline has exhibited at IFSEC and the co-located Safety and Health Expo for several years. We’ve found great success each year, and look forward to meeting organisations from every industry at the 2015 exhibition.”

Blackline GPS Europe will be on stage in the Lone Working Arena between 3.30 pm and 4.00 pm on Tuesday 16 June and between 11.00 am and 11.30 am on Thursday 18 June.

Peoplesafe (Stand M2050)

Peoplesafe will be demonstrating all of the devices available in its current portfolio including the Identicom 877, the Defender smart phone application and the Peoplesafe smart phone application. The company will also be introducing the SPOT Gen3 Satellite Device which gives a critical, life-saving line of communication when travelling beyond the reach of mobile service.

Speaking on behalf of Peoplesafe, managing director Ian Johannessen explained: “The BSIA Lone Worker Arena education initiative meets the need for professionals with a responsibility for an organisation’s people safety management to hear some expert lone worker safety insights. Peoplesafe is playing a leading role in supporting the theatre with two client Case Studies to be discussed.”

Peoplesafe will be on stage in the Lone Worker Arena between 12.30 and 1.00 pm on Tuesday 16 June and between 1.15 pm and 1.45 pm on Wednesday 17 June.

Skyguard (Stand M2150)

Skyguard will be demonstrating a new version of the company’s award-winning MySOS device which is being unveiled for the first time. The MySOS personal safety device will also be sign-posted to visitors as part of the show’s ‘Innovation Trail’.

Speaking ahead of the event, Skyguard’s marketing director Will Murray commented: “The Safety and Health Expo provides an ideal opportunity for Skyguard to meet with prospective buyers across vertical markets and demonstrate our latest product innovations.”

Skyguard will also be on stage in the Lone Working Arena between 12.30 and 1.00 pm on 17 June and then again between 1.15 pm and 1.45 pm on the final day of the show.

Throughout IFSEC International, members of the BSIA will have access to the Members’ Lounge, with seating available for meetings and coffee breaks. Visit the Trade Association on Stand B1350 to find out more about the benefits of BSIA membership or to source reputable security solutions suppliers.
