BSI, the business standards company, has announced the appointment of Harold Pradal as Group commercial director on the Group Executive with immediate effect. In this new role, Pradal will be directly responsible for shaping and delivering the BSI’s vision, commercial strategy and key initiatives to support business growth across all business streams, sectors and geographies going forward.

Speaking about this move, Howard Kerr (CEO at the BSI) explained to Risk Xtra: “We’ve grown significantly since 2009, expanding our geographical reach and business scope. This new role has been created to deliver a more integrated commercial offer, strengthen our key account management and accelerating growth. Harold will be a great asset to our Group Executive team and I’m delighted to welcome him. His experience in business development and managing a global portfolio of commercial partnerships across international markets will help drive BSI to further success.”

Before joining BSI, Pradal spent ten years at International SOS, holding a variety of senior strategic, operational and leadership roles in the Asia-Pacific region. He started as the general manager of the Philippines in 2009, before moving to China in 2013 as general manager for sales and marketing and, subsequently, general manager for Greater China. In 2016, Pradal was promoted to regional general manager of the Asia-Pacific with responsibility for growing the business and implementing new product solutions and innovations in the region.

Prior to serving at International SOS, Pradal worked for GE Healthcare with responsibility for sales and marketing across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and later as the Asia-Pacific region marketing director.

Pradal holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Université du Droit et de la Santé de Lille and a Master’s degree in Business from the ILIS Faculté d’Ingénierie et Management de la Santé.

Commenting on his new role, Pradal said: “I’m honoured to be joining BSI at a truly exciting time for the business. BSI has a long and successful track record as a global leader in helping organisations to improve and embed excellence into the way in which people and products work. BSI’s value proposition, clients and suppliers, and most importantly its team, are great assets for further international expansion and sustainable growth. I look forward to working with BSI’s 4,500 employees to support organisations all over the world in making excellence a habit.”
