The April 2013 issue of Benchmark – Risk UK’s sister publication – is now available, both as a traditional hard copy publication and a free-to-read on-line issue. The latest issue considers how additional functionality can be realised from access control solutions by utilising a ‘single credential’ approach for a wide range of functionality. This enhances the benefits for businesses whilst also reducing capital and on-going costs. Benchmark also considers implementations of technology to both manage and protect manned guarding teams, as well as considering the role of physical security in an increasingly electronic world. The April 2013 issue also includes the concluding part of a test of video encoders, to assess performance from devices intended to prolong the lifecycle of legacy edge devices, alongside an in-depth look at the 2Y-Link from Leeds Electronics.
