Savills, one of the world’s largest real estate firms, has chosen two Axis Group companies – namely Axis Security and Axis Cleaning and Support Services – to deliver services at two of its leisure sites in Yorkshire: Xscape Yorkshire and Cardigan Fields.
Xscape Yorkshire is a large leisure complex that features an indoor snow and ski slope, a multiplex cinema, bars, restaurants and retail outlets and attracts a significant footfall notably at weekends. Axis Security is providing security guarding services 576 hours per week, employing a team of 12 security officers all of whom were transferred to Axis employment via TUPE. Axis Cleaning and Support Services is providing nine cleaning staff on the same site.
Cardigan Fields is a leisure park located just over a mile from the centre of Leeds. It’s fully equipped with a cinema, a gym and numerous restaurants. For this contract, Axis Security is providing security guarding services 252 hours per week, employing a security team of six.
Jason Warren, general manager at Savills, informed Risk Xtra that providing exceptional customer service is the priority for all Axis Group staff across the two sites. “We selected the Axis Group because the business was able to demonstrate shared high expectations and the fact that Axis Security and Axis Cleaning and Support Services would be a great fit for these sites. We’re looking forward to further developing the partnership we have.”
Warren added: “We will be working closely with the Axis teams on customer service training to ensure members of the public can enjoy a safe and comfortable experience every time they visit.”
David Mundell, managing director at Axis Group, responded by affirming that Axis Security and Axis Cleaning and Support Services work together in close partnership. “Having a central point of contact for both organisations provides the customer with significant operational conveniences. Our local operations teams have been heavily involved, providing their support and expertise to ensure the smooth running of both sites.”
