ASIS International adds 245th Global Chapter for security management professionals

ASIS International has announced the formation of its newest chapter, Carolina Pines, which will serve members in the Southern Pines area of North Carolina.

ASIS International’s various chapters support security professionals and communities around the world by providing a forum for local security leaders to meet with colleagues and peers for professional development and networking. The security community gathers to discuss the latest threats and strategies for mitigating risks both in-person and using ASIS International’s proprietary online community.

The first new chapter announced in 2019, Carolina Pines was formed under the leadership of inaugural chapter chairmain Raymond Whitaker, senior director of corporate security at GRA Maven.

“Security professionals in the Southern Pines area drove up to an hour to attend ASIS chapter meetings with the Greater Fayetteville Chapter,” explained Whitaker. “The Carolina Pines Chapter will ease that burden on security professionals in the Southern Pines area as they strive to help keep their community safe.”

Other chapters in North Carolina include the NC Research Triangle Chapter, the Greater Fayetteville Chapter, the North Carolina Piedmont Chapter, the Greater Charlotte Chapter, the NC Azalea Coast Chapter and the Western North Carolina Chapter.
