Andrew Hallam: the new managing director at Unipart Security Solutions

Unipart Security Solutions has announced the appointment of Andrew Hallam as managing director of the business with effect from 1 February 2015. Hallam takes over the role from Colin Moore who remains a Board member but is now moving across to focus on leading Unipart Group Security having started the Unipart Security Solutions division back in 2008.

Hallam boasts a wealth of experience within the security sector which he joined in the late 1980s. Since then, he has seen his roles vary and encompass both senior management positions and regional director posts.

In 2002, Hallam established his own security company. Come 2012, he sold the business and joined Unipart Security Solutions as operations director. It’s strongly felt that his experience, leadership skills, commercial awareness and a dedicated focus on business development will prove essential in terms of the strategic direction and growth of Unipart Security Solutions.

Under Colin Moore’s leadership, Unipart Security Solutions both expanded and developed its business model to create a ‘total security solutions’ offer which now extends to encompass alarm response, CCTV monitoring, systems installation and maintenance solutions, security guarding/mobile patrols, risk management consultancy and investigative services.

Business relationships founded on trust and honesty

Commenting on Hallam’s new role, Michelle Farrelly (head of Human Resources at Unipart Security Solutions) said: “I have had the pleasure of working with Andrew for the last two years while he has served as operations director for the business. During at time I’ve found him to be a true professional. He has extensive knowledge of the security industry gained from running his own organisation. Andrew’s a man of integrity who builds strong business relationships founded on trust and honesty.”

Farrelly added: “Andrew is commercially astute and demonstrates a high level of emotional intelligence in his dealings with people. He’s a highly driven individual and is relentless in seeing issues through to their resolution. Now, Andrew’s creating a sales-focused business that will deliver growth both organically and acquisitively.”

John Gerard-Pearse, financial controller for Unipart Security Solutions, explained: “I’ve worked alongside Andrew for over two years now and, during that time, he has demonstrated strong commercial and business acumen on many occasions. I wish him every success in his new role.”
