Overtis Solutions sold Overtis Group, a vendor of user activity management software that integrates with physical monitoring and access control systems, has announced that Digital Barriers has acquired the business and assets of Overtis Solutions division. Overtis Solutions focused on providing installation and integration of physical security systems including intercom and access control; CCTV and video analytics; blast and ballistic protection and perimeter protection. The company will continue to develop its VigilancePro user activity management software. Commenting on the sale of Overtis Solutions division, Ed Macnair, CEO of Overtis said: "Overtis will continue to focus R&D investment on developing user activity management software that combats all forms of computer-based crime by preventing actions that flout security policies and correlating endpoint activity with physical surveillance and access control. This will benefit our customers and channel partners by delivering user activity management products that reduce cost and guarantee compliance with industry regulations such as DPA, PCI DSS, MiFID, HIPAA, SOX and ISO 27001."
