Tyco Security Products, Vanderbilt, Samsung Techwin, Wavestore, Essentra Security, MOBOTIX and Axis Communications will all be in attendance at IFSEC International 2015, which runs from Tuesday 16-Thursday 18 June at ExCeL. Brian Sims previews what each company will be discussing with those end user visitors making the journey to London for the exhibition and the parallel conference programme.

Tyco Security Products will be featuring an expanding portfolio of integrated solutions. Stand D1100 is the place to be if you wish to view a group of unified technologies providing intelligent solutions and services, in turn delivering to customers the critical information needed to respond to the most demanding of security situations – no matter the size of their business.

“At all levels of the market, demand is increasing for sensors, cameras and readers that can provide intelligence individually and as part of a unified solution, offering additional intelligence and value beyond the traditional confines of security,” explained Leon Langlais, senior director of growth markets and regional strategy at Tyco Security Products.

Langlais continued: “Our unique ability to capture, analyse and deliver actionable intelligence to customers — at nearly any level — is part of the innovation and leadership that Tyco Security Products brings to the market today and which drives our development for the future.”

The solutions being displayed at IFSEC International highlight several examples of the company’s commitment to providing a portfolio of unified, intuitive solutions that offer additional flexibility, mobility and intelligence for the customer.  This begins with the Victor unified platform which provides complete video and access system management from a single interface and a single database.

Leading the introductions from the Tyco Security Products video surveillance portfolio is the new line of Illustra Edge cameras, a complete HD video system combining an Illustra IP camera, pre-installed exacqVision video management system (VMS) software and SD card storage into one, out-of-the-box solution.

On the access control side, the new Kantech KT-1 Ethernet one door controller is described as “an economical yet feature-rich controller”. With a simple network connection and the push of a touch-sensitive button, the KT-1 controller is automatically detected and enrolled on the EntraPass security management system, making it quick and simple to install.

“Throughout the three days of the show, we will be offering live demonstrations of how our VMS is able to facilitate the delivery of business intelligence and improve operational efficiency, as well as provide a very powerful tool to combat criminal activity.”

While bringing together audio, data and video, including images from the very latest ultra-HD and 360° fish eye cameras, Wavestore also provides a platform that makes integration between disparate third party technologies a simple exercise.

In addition to enabling the deployment of technology such as intelligent video analytics, it can also augment ‘dumb’ systems with video and ease of control to create a much more powerful and effective total security solution.

“We’ve already achieved deep integration between our VMS and a long list of Best in Breed technology and systems providers,” said Smith. “However, visitors to Stand D1350 will also be able to see how bespoke, project-specific and specialist integrations can be easily, quickly and cost-effectively implemented thanks to WaveStar, our protocol translation script that enables our developers to provide bespoke integration with almost any device.”

Visitors to the Wavestore stand will also be able to experience WaveView, the company’s powerful review suite which allows users to easily search and instantaneously retrieve recorded images of incidents – even over very large amounts of footage – and display them alongside live images.

Plus, for evidence purposes a fully stitched-together sequence of events from any number of cameras can easily be exported in a wide range of video formats with just three simple clicks of a mouse.

“Feedback from the market has confirmed that WaveView is already a worldwide favourite among Control Room operators who need to rapidly retrieve recorded video in order to respond effectively to any incident,” concluded Smith. “Nevertheless, we’re constantly looking at ways in which we can further improve how easy our VMS is to use. Operators who often have to multi-task will be impressed with our updated Graphical User Interface in V6 which offers an enhanced, customisable ‘one screen, total control’ display solution.”

Looking to the wider security sector, Rajput added: “I still believe that, as an industry, we’re guilty of underselling the benefits of network video. All-too-often, network video is viewed as a cost when in reality it can be a revenue generating opportunity. Today’s successful companies are those that are proactively looking at ways in which network video can create new business opportunities. Companies that embrace this and strive to discover new and innovative solutions can look forward to a smarter and more successful future.”
