Fire and Security Association to celebrate 10th Anniversary at IFSEC and FIREX International

Fire and security business sector representatives are being urged to attend the Fire and Security Association’s (FSA) 10th Anniversary celebrations next month during IFSEC and FIREX International, which run at London’s ExCeL in Docklands from 20-22 June.

The FSA will be hosting a free drinks reception on Stand C230 within FIREX International on Wednesday 21 June from 5.00 pm until 7.00 pm. There are speeches planned from FSA chairman Pat Allen and Steve Martin (head of the FSA) about the trade body’s achievements since its formation in 2007.

In addition, Martin will be giving a presentation entitled ‘Connected Buildings – Disconnected People?’ on Thursday 22 June at 2.00 pm. The seminar is due to focus on the commercial and social opportunities associated with smart technology.

“The IFSEC and FIREX International events are undoubtedly two of the biggest occasions on the annual fire and security calendar,” said Martin. “The FSA is delighted to be celebrating its 10th birthday at this year’s shows and we very much look forward to welcoming attendees to the FSA’s stand to recognise our achievements.”

Martin also stated: “In addition, the FSA’s seminar on the commercial opportunities associated with smart technology should provide engineers and installers alike with some new ideas in terms of how to grow and diversify their business.”

Some of the Keynote Speakers during the three-day shows – which run as part of the Protection and Management Series – include ‘rock star’ physicist Professor Brian Cox OBE, Olympic gold medallist Dame Kelly Holmes and Falklands War hero Simon Weston OBE.
