Call for Entries: SSR Personnel launches Inspiration in HR Award 2018

Bestowed on an annual basis by SSR Personnel, the Inspiration in HR Award is designed to recognise the work of Human Resources professionals. The award is open to either individuals or organisations and runs with the support of IFSEC International as well as UBM’s Security and Fire Portfolio.

Service sectors rely on teams of people operating across a number of environments, from customer-focused settings through to those that require an in-depth knowledge of technology. For their part, HR professionals play a key role in the selection, training and monitoring of thousands of individuals across these different spheres.

To reach the final shortlist, organisations will have demonstrated that they’re quality focused and have a pride in looking after and developing their workforce. There will be evidence of a partnership in HR and operations management. Shortlisted companies will see their HR function as giving them a competitive edge. They’ll clearly demonstrate going above and beyond any current standards in order to prove their worth a a quality solutions provider in today’s business environment.

Entries can be self-nominated. The Judges are looking for Best Practice in Human Resources (HR) management where an organisation recognises that HR is a business enabler and partner when it comes to managing a successful operation.

Previous winners and shortlisted organisations for this award have proven their credentials. Award winners have included ADT Fire & Security and the HR teams at Advance Security, CIS Security, Compass Group-VSG, Corps Security and Wilson James.

David Clark CPP PCI PSP, chairman of ASIS UK, told Risk Xtra: “Of all the award categories that are available in the security business sector, the Inspiration in HR Award always feels the most rewarding. The entries are of such a high calibre that it’s without doubt a tough award to judge and, arguably, one of the most important. After all, a company is only as good as the people it keeps. The entries for this award are always truly inspirational. I’m always impressed by the level of commitment and innovation that the companies and their HR teams pour into initiatives that improve the well-being of their staff and motivate them to do well.”

SSR Personnel’s Inspiration in HR Award affords professionals in this sphere the recognition they so richly deserve. The 2018 winner will be presented with their prize during the Security and Fire Excellence Awards Ceremony to be hosted by UBM’s Security and Fire Portfolio at The London Hilton Hotel, Park Lane on Wednesday 21 November.

*Entries should be received by Monday 24 September 2018 and submitted by e-mail. For further information on the entry process send an e-mail to awards@ssr-personnel.com
