Axis Group’s learning and development business division celebrates first year of operations

The Axis Academy, Axis Group’s dedicated learning and development business division, is celebrating its first anniversary with an open day showcasing a selection of the 77 courses the company now has on offer. The open day will take place on Thursday 27 September.

During its first 12 months of operations, the Axis Academy has delivered a total of 122 courses and trained no less than 512 delegates. As such, Duaine Taylor (head of learning and development) believes the open day is an excellent opportunity to showcase the benefits of the Axis Academy and its courses.

“While the focus in our first year has been on security and Health and Safety-based learning, attendees will see that we also have courses that cover management skills, presentation skills and customer service-focused training.”

Accreditations achieved over the last year include Qualsafe awards and Highfield Award Body for Compliance qualifications as well as accreditations from Worldhost and the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.

“Our first year has surpassed our expectations,” added Taylor. “Not only are we delivering quality training to our teams of security, cleaning and Front of House employees, but we also welcome a number of external clients including MJ Mapp, CBRE and Hallfield School.”

Taylor concluded: “The next 12 months will see us increase the depth and range of courses on offer, gain further approvals for a number of our popular internal courses and further develop e-Learning options. We’re confident that this will enable us to increase our portfolio of external clients.”
